Recently, a research team at Stanford University has launched the intelligent research assistant STORM2.0, providing scholars and knowledge workers with a powerful information integration tool.

Renowned as the open-source version of Perplexity Pages, STORM2.0 boasts several practical features: it can browse the internet and generate articles or research papers spanning tens of thousands of words; it uses multiple intelligent agents based on themes to convert a large volume of literature into coherent articles; it supports the use of locally deployed language models with technical support from TGIClient; and it offers free access and application functionality.

The workflow of STORM2.0 is divided into two stages: research and writing. The research phase collects references and generates outlines; the writing phase generates complete articles based on the outline and references, ensuring comprehensive and detailed content.

A significant innovation of the system is its ability to automatically generate questions. By guiding the language model to pose in-depth and broad questions and simulating multi-angle dialogues, STORM2.0 makes the research and writing process more efficient and comprehensive.

The system is modularly designed, allowing users to customize according to their needs. The main modules include: knowledge integration, outline generation, article generation, and article optimization. Additionally, STORM2.0 supports various search modules and language models, enhancing the flexibility of the system.

Professor Li Ming (pseudonym) of Stanford University's Department of Computer Science said, "The launch of STORM2.0 marks an important step forward in the field of knowledge management. It not only improves research efficiency but also has the potential to change the way we acquire and process information."

As technology continues to improve, STORM2.0 is expected to play a significant role in academic research and content creation, opening up new paths for knowledge exploration. However, experts also remind that researchers should maintain critical thinking when using such tools to ensure the originality and accuracy of their research.
