SenseTime Technology, in collaboration with Thailand's DTGO Group and Quinnnova, jointly launched the Thai Language Large Model (DTLM) named "Dongfeng". This is the world's first AI large language model that can operate efficiently in Thai, Chinese, and English. The model combines SenseTime's base model and computational advantages with DTGO's deep understanding of Thai language and culture, aiming to provide localized generative AI experiences, including text comprehension and natural, fluent real-time conversations.

The name "Dongfeng" is inspired by the classic Chinese novel "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", symbolizing the long-standing cultural exchanges between China and Thailand, and further promoting this exchange through generative AI technology. The model will serve both individual users and enterprises in Thailand, meet multi-language needs, and at the same time, provide innovative AI solutions for local enterprises and government clients, driving the development of Thailand's AI ecosystem.

Professor Lin Dahu, co-founder of SenseTime, emphasized that "Dongfeng" is a large model tailored for the Thai community, hoping its understanding of Thai and Thai culture will meet the diverse needs of the local area and jointly drive innovation with DTGO, providing efficient and cost-effective AI solutions for Thailand and Southeast Asia. Kittikun Potivanakul, Chief Technology Officer of DTGO, said that they will leverage the "Dongfeng" Thai Language Large Model to grasp the opportunities in the fields of the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence.

In its initial phase, "Dongfeng" will primarily target enterprise users to help them reduce costs and improve efficiency. SenseTime released "Ri Ri Xin SenseNova 5.5" at the 2024 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, which has a comprehensive performance improvement of 30%, becoming the first domestic large model with native streaming multimodal interaction capabilities, bringing users a new AI interaction experience. SenseTime is committed to promoting the development and application of generative AI, providing innovative products for various industries and regions.
