You Tube Music is testing a new feature that allows users to create custom playlists using artificial intelligence. YouTube spokesperson Jessica Gibby told The Verge that advanced users in the United States will be able to create custom playlists by 'describing the music they want to hear'.

According to screenshots obtained by 9to5Google, the feature might display a chat interface where you can enter a description or choose prompts such as 'catchy pop song chorus' or 'upbeat pop song'. Then, it will generate a playlist based on your description. Spotify also has a similar feature, allowing advanced users to create playlists using artificial intelligence.

Gibby said that YouTube Music has also launched a new feature that allows you to search for specific songs by singing, humming, or playing them loudly. Similar to the Shazam feature, it will be available on iPhone and Android devices and can be used by clicking the new waveform icon that appears when you tap the 'Search' button in the YouTube Music app. YouTube will try to find the song you are looking for, and if found, it will display the song name, artist, and album. The platform began testing this feature last year and started rolling it out on Android in May.
