He pointed out that with the rapid development of large model applications, the underlying computing power is increasingly strained, and a multi-core cloud has become an inevitable choice for Chinese enterprises. Baidu Smart Cloud will open its Baidu AI Computing Platform to more businesses, sharing the freedom of "chip selection," and has developed the Qianfan Toolchain Platform based on the Wenxin large model, reducing the technical threshold and usage costs of large models.
Shen Dou emphasized that artificial intelligence is the key technology for innovation, and large models are at the forefront of artificial intelligence. He demonstrated the exponential growth and pointed out that the value of large models lies not only in popular applications but also in the comprehensive penetration into various aspects of production and life. Through cooperation with enterprises, Baidu discovered the importance of the underlying computing power management platform and independently developed the Baidu AI Computing Platform, which can control performance losses in multi-core mixed training and support the rapid iteration of Baidu's Wenxin large model.
In addition, Shen Dou mentioned that large model applications have entered a period of explosion, with enterprises not only waiting for popular applications but also applying large models to various aspects of their business. Baidu has developed the Qianfan Toolchain Platform based on the Wenxin large model, making it convenient for enterprises to quickly fine-tune models and develop applications, significantly lowering the technical threshold and usage costs. The Qianfan platform has developed 550,000 applications and launched the Qianfan·Industry Enhanced Edition, providing industry-specific large models, industry knowledge, and industry intelligent bodies to accelerate enterprise innovation.
Shen Dou also cited two examples to illustrate the application effects of Baidu's large models: The All-China Federation of Trade Unions utilized the trade union industry large model co-created by Baidu and the Federation to quickly develop an AI legal consultation assistant; the application of visual AI models in mine safety production, which achieved a "cold start" through large models, quickly launched applications and developed scene models to solve mine safety production issues.
