Recently, there have been user inquiries on social media, questioning whether WPS Office may have leaked its review content to ByteDance's AI product "Doubao".
In response, ByteDance swiftly issued an official statement, clearly stating that the rumors about Doubao AI using WPS user data for training are unfounded. The statement emphasized that the book information obtained by Doubao AI comes from public sources and provides references to relevant websites.
ByteDance further clarified that there has been no collaboration between Doubao AI and WPS in AI training, nor has it ever used any non-public private data for training.
Meanwhile, WPS Office also responded to the matter, stating that they have conducted strict inspections and communications regarding user feedback and confirmed that these rumors are untrue. WPS emphasized that it strictly adheres to personal information protection regulations and has implemented stringent security measures to protect user data from unauthorized access and leakage.
WPS also explicitly stated that its AI services are positioned for the application of large language model technology services. User documents will not be used for any AI training purposes, nor will they be used in any other scenarios without user consent. WPS promises that all user documents will not be used by any third party for AI training.
