Xiaomi recently announced that its intelligent assistant, Xiaoai同学, is undergoing a comprehensive upgrade with a new large-scale model version. This upgrade will cover multiple main product lines including smartphones, tablets, smart TVs, smart speakers, and cars. The new version of Xiaoai同学 will introduce a series of innovative features such as AI photo editing and vehicle exterior wake-up defense.
On smartphones, the upgraded Xiaoai同学 will focus on providing unique features such as AI photo editing, document answering, and intelligent video production. For tablets, it will aim to enhance office efficiency and learning experiences, including generating meeting summary frameworks, industry competitive analysis report frameworks, creating study plans, generating thesis outlines or summarizing article core points, and creative image generation.
The Xiaoai同学 on smart TVs will offer services such as movie knowledge quizzes, fitness and leisure guidance, and family planning, for example, providing box office information for a certain movie or helping users create a weekly fitness plan.
As for the car version, the upgraded Xiaoai同学 will act as a travel assistant, offering practical functions such as smart navigation, music recommendations, car FAQs, and vehicle exterior wake-up defense.
According to Xiaomi's plan, the upgrade of the Xiaoai同学 large model will be completed by the end of July. The smartphone version will support models after Xiaomi 5 and Redmi 5, with a software version number of V6.126.5; the tablet version will support models after Xiaomi Tablet 5, also using version V6.126.5; the smart TV version will support devices with a memory capacity of 1G or more, with a software version number of V4.30.1.
Additionally, Xiaomi plans to upgrade support for some screenless speakers by the end of August, and by the end of October, some screen-equipped speakers will also receive corresponding upgrades.
