Recently, Wix has been launching new generative AI tools, garnering widespread attention. These tools are no simple matter; they can generate entire SEO-optimized blog posts, even handling images. Currently, these tools are available to English users of website builders.

Einat Halperin, General Manager of Wix Blogs, stated that websites with blogs receive an average increase of 86% in organic traffic compared to those without blogs. Therefore, they are looking forward to helping more users create top-notch content with the new blog creation tools.

However, Wix has openly stated the reasons for launching these tools: SEO-optimized blog posts rank higher on Google, attracting more visitors to the website. But this has also raised concerns, as AI tools could lead to an overabundance of AI-generated garbage online, sacrificing genuinely valuable information.

This AI-driven blog toolset offers numerous features. It can recommend topics for upcoming posts based on previously published content, automatically gather website information to create specific posts, and suggest blog titles, copies, and images, with users able to specify SEO keywords. For images, users can create them through descriptions. Additionally, the new tool allows business users to connect their blogs to the Wix Business Solutions platform, enabling them to use features like sending promotional emails.

This is not Wix's first venture into AI-related projects. As early as March this year, the platform released an AI chatbot capable of building websites through text prompts. Its acquisition of the art portfolio website DeviantArt also allows users to host, generate, and sell AI-generated content on the platform, sparking controversy. Last year, Wix CEO Avishai Abrahami stated in an interview that he was not concerned about AI-generated SEO content disrupting the online business model.
