On July 31, Kuaishou issued a statement addressing the impersonation of "KelinAI" on various online platforms, urging users to be cautious in distinguishing between genuine and fake entities to avoid financial losses from scams. The statement highlighted various forms of impersonation: counterfeit apps circulating on websites and app stores; websites using the KelinAI or Kuaishou logos to mislead users; and accounts impersonating official accounts on social media platforms.
Kuaishou explicitly stated that KelinAI has not developed any apps, and all apps claiming to be official or authorized by KelinAI are counterfeit. Additionally, Kuaishou emphasized that there are only two official websites for KelinAI, the Chinese and English official sites, and any other URLs are fraudulent.
Furthermore, Kuaishou has noticed that some individuals are selling KelinAI beta test accounts online. Users are reminded that beta testing can only be applied for through the Kuaishou App and the official KelinAI website; any other resale activities are untrustworthy. Kuaishou warns that impersonation constitutes infringement, and the platform will take legal action to protect its rights.
KelinAI, developed by the Kuaishou AI team, is a video generation technology that opened for beta testing on June 6 and introduced a web version at the WAIC2024 conference, extending video generation duration to 10 seconds. On July 24, KelinAI announced a model upgrade and fully opened the beta testing.
