Xiaomi is set to release its latest flagship smartphone series, the Mi 15 series, in October. This series will be the first to pre-install the new HyperOS 2.0 operating system. The new system will focus on full-scene intelligence and cross-platform connectivity, marking Xiaomi's shift to an AI-driven system experience, rather than just integrating AI features into applications.
HyperOS 2.0 made its debut last year, replacing MIUI as the default operating system for Xiaomi devices. It is not only available for new devices but also compatible with many older models. The system combines the strengths of Linux and Xiaomi Vela, reconstructs core kernel modules, and introduces eight new subsystems. It aims to create an active, high-performance, and secure system hub, with a new cross-device interconnect framework that enables dynamic networking and capability coordination between devices.
It is expected that HyperOS 2.0 will further optimize device interconnectivity, providing users with a more convenient and seamless experience.
