Huawei introduced the new Huawei MatePad Air tablet at the HarmonyOS Intelligent Travel Enjoy Edition S9 and Huawei's Full Scenario New Product Launch. The new MatePad Air features a seamless all-metal body design and corrosion-resistant, sweat-resistant properties with natural mica powder material, offering four fresh and elegant color options: Grass Green, Cherry Blossom Pink, Feather White, and Misty Gray. The device weighs as light as 555g and is only 5.9mm thick.
In terms of battery life, the new MatePad Air is equipped with a large 10,100mAh battery and supports 66W fast charging technology. The screen features a 12-inch Cloud Clarity Soft Light display with a 2.8K ultra-high resolution, 144Hz high refresh rate, 3:2 productivity screen ratio, P3 cinema-grade color gamut, and supports HDR Vivid technology. The maximum brightness across the screen can reach 1000 nits under strong outdoor light or when displaying HDR content.
The new MatePad Air also supports the HUAWEI M-Pencil (3rd generation) stylus and a new ultra-lightweight Star Flash keyboard, which is designed with a thin and integrated structure, weighing only 308g. The combined weight with the tablet is just over 800g.
Notably, the new MatePad Air is powered by Huawei's self-developed XiaoYi AI large model, bringing several upgraded functions. Features like XiaoYi Document Assistant, XiaoYi News Assistant, XiaoYi Writing Helper, and XiaoYi Smart Search can assist users in improving efficiency in input scenarios such as meeting minutes and news collation, as well as output scenarios like social media content and daily/weekly reports.
The AI writing capabilities of Huawei Notes include AI pinyin association, AI handwriting adjustment, AI handwriting layout, and AI multi-person voice transcription. For the Born to Draw App, innovative functions like AI Smart Drawing, AI intelligent selection, and AI portrait practice are also provided, further enhancing the user's creative and office experience.
