This technology combines users' selfies with verified identity photos to provide businesses with a more secure and reliable identity authentication service.

Face Check made its debut in February of this year and has been integrated into Microsoft's Entra digital identity service. Microsoft points out that 65% of cyber-attack paths involve insecure authentication methods. With the rapid development of generative AI, the threats to traditional digital identity systems are increasing. Malicious actors can easily bypass common verification methods, such as CAPTCHA or personal information questions, which underscores the importance of robust identity authentication.

Face Check addresses this issue by comparing users' selfies with verified identity photos, such as passport images. Microsoft emphasizes that Face Check only shares the matching results without involving sensitive identity data, enhancing privacy protection while improving the identity verification capabilities for businesses. Additionally, the technology can effectively combat various deception methods, including deepfakes, ensuring comprehensive security for user identities.

Enterprises can purchase the Face Check service individually, with each verification costing $0.25 (approximately 1.8 RMB). Furthermore, Face Check is part of Microsoft's Entra Suite, and businesses can enjoy a free trial of the Entra Suite, which includes 8 free Face Check verifications per month.
