According to Forbes, on Sunday, former President Trump posted a series of messages on his social platform Truth Social, claiming that his campaign is gaining support from Taylor Swift's fans. In addition to these photos, he also launched a fierce attack on Vice President Kamala Harris, questioning her political record and implying that she is a communist.

Among the content shared by Trump, there are some AI-generated images showing women wearing "Swifties For Trump" T-shirts, as well as a real photo of a woman wearing a similar T-shirt. Trump wrote in his post: "I accept." He also attached an AI-generated poster where Taylor Swift is dressed as Uncle Sam, calling on her fans to vote for Trump.

A few hours later, Trump further promoted his connection with Swift's fans by sharing a video in which a woman talks about "Swifties are waking up," a statement made in reference to the concert in Austria that was canceled due to a terrorist plot.

Over the weekend, Trump also posted on Truth Social and X platforms, implying that Harris is a communist. He shared a cover of the New York Post criticizing the Vice President's economic policies, calling it "Kamulism." The day before, Trump shared an AI-generated image on X showing Harris speaking to a crowd in Chicago with a background featuring sickle and hammer symbols.

It should be noted that Taylor Swift has not yet publicly endorsed any candidate, although she did support Joe Biden in 2020. Earlier this month, a photo posted by Swift on her account sparked speculation that she might support Harris, as the photo featured a female silhouette similar to the Vice President. However, this speculation was quickly proven to be a misunderstanding, as the woman was actually one of Swift's backup dancers.

Meanwhile, some Swift fans have formed a group called "Swifties for Kamala," which has attracted over 40,000 followers on Instagram and 60,000 on X. Last week, the group told The Guardian that more than 5,000 people had registered to attend the Zoom launch meeting on August 27 the day after they announced it. In 2019, Swift criticized Trump and his presidency, stating that "we are a democratic country — at least we should be — where you can express different opinions, dissent, and debate. I think he really believes this is a dictatorship."

There are media speculations that either Taylor Swift or Beyoncé will perform at the Democratic National Convention this week, although this has not been confirmed. Meanwhile, Swift will perform at Wembley Stadium in London on Monday and Tuesday.
