In the Gemini-powered "Help me write" options, in addition to "Polish," you can also choose "Formalize" and "Elaborate" functions. For instance, after composing an email, simply click the "Polish" button, and Gemini will optimize your draft, making your expression smoother and the tone more fitting. Additionally, on Android and iOS devices, you will see shortcuts for these AI writing tools directly in your email body, making them more intuitive to use.
For users who have purchased the Google One AI Premium account or the Gemini add-on for Google Workspace, these tools are available for use. When you open a new draft, a "Help me write" shortcut will be displayed, clicking which allows Gemini to generate text for you. As long as the draft contains more than 12 words, whether written by you or generated by AI, a new "Refine my draft" option will appear, offering great convenience.
By sliding the "Refine draft" shortcut, you will see options like "Polish," "Formalize," "Elaborate," or "Simplify," and you can even choose to have Gemini compose an entirely new draft for you. If the "Refine my draft" shortcut is not visible, clicking the pencil icon will achieve the same effect.
