The Tongyi Large Model Platform, under Alibaba Cloud, has recently launched a new "PPT Creation" feature on its web version (tongyi.ai), offering users an intelligent and efficient tool for creating presentation slides. This feature, developed independently by the Tongyi Lab, is completely free to use and aims to simplify the PPT creation process, making creative expression more convenient.
The "PPT Creation" feature boasts three core characteristics: substance-rich, aesthetically designed, and intelligently arranged. Users only need to input a sentence or upload a document, and Tongyi can automatically generate a well-structured outline and develop content based on user needs.
In terms of design, this feature leverages the Tongyi Wanxiang visual large model, supporting text-to-image generation and image library search matching, ensuring that the illustrations align closely with the PPT theme. Additionally, the initial set of templates covers various scenarios such as work reports, academic speeches, and daily sharing, meeting diverse user needs.
It is worth mentioning that the Tongyi web version has also upgraded and integrated other functionalities. The original "Tongyi Tingwu" audio-video to text product has been upgraded to "Real-time Recording," and the "Tongyi Zhiwen" long document reading assistant has been upgraded to "Reading Assistant." These two features, along with the newly introduced "PPT Creation," together form the Tongyi efficiency module, creating a complete workflow from information collection and organization to content understanding and creation.
In addition to the PPT creation feature, the Tongyi web version also launched a "Deep Search" mode in mid-August, supporting more content source indexing and providing deeper, more professional, and structured search results.
