Samsung has recently introduced new features for its AI-powered food and recipe app, Samsung Food, offering users a more convenient meal planning and food management experience. With the update to Samsung Food Plus, users can simply take a photo to add ingredients to their food list and generate recommended recipes based on existing ingredients. This feature not only simplifies the management of the food list but also automatically removes used ingredients and updates the list during shopping, significantly streamlining the meal planning process.

Previously, the food list feature was limited to use with Samsung's SmartThings app and Family Hub smart refrigerators, with limited practicality. Now, as a cross-platform application, Samsung Food integrates food management, shopping, meal planning, and cooking into one, becoming a powerful assistant in users' kitchens.

It is worth noting that these new features are part of the paid version of Samsung Food Plus, requiring users to pay $6.99 per month or $59.99 annually. Paid users not only enjoy ad-free service but also receive a tailored seven-day meal plan, AI-personalized recipe suggestions, and nutrition goal tracking. The app is available for iOS, Android, and web versions.

The new version introduces Vision AI technology, which can recognize over 40,000 ingredients through the smartphone camera, further enhancing the intelligence of food management. This series of updates makes Samsung Food an ideal tool for users to simplify meal planning and reduce food waste.
