Kuaishou Technology has announced the launch of the "KeLingAI" Director Co-Creation Plan, marking a new phase in the deep integration of the film industry with artificial intelligence technology. This initiative will invite nine renowned directors including Li Shaohong, Jia Zhangke, Yip Kam-tim, Xue Xiaolu, Yu Baimei, Dong Runnian, Zhang Chiyu, Wang Zichuan, and Wang Mao Mao to collaboratively create nine AIGC (Artificial Intelligence Generated Content) film shorts using Kuaishou's self-developed "KeLingAI" video generation technology.
"KeLingAI" is a real-image-level video generation large model introduced by Kuaishou. Since its release on June 6, it has served over 1.6 million users, generating 25 million images and 16 million videos. The technology has demonstrated outstanding performance in aspects such as image-to-video, motion graphics, and lens control, and has undergone multiple product and feature updates.
In this co-creation plan, the nine directors will rely on the technical capabilities of "KeLingAI" to produce film shorts of approximately three minutes in length. These directors have extensive creative experience in various fields such as film, television, animation, comics, and art design, with a cumulative box office exceeding two billion. This marks their first attempt to use domestic AIGC technology for film short creation, and it is also the first officially implemented AIGC director co-creation plan in China.
