The recently concluded Apple event unveiled the much-anticipated iPhone 16 series. Alongside the iPhone 16, Apple also introduced several other exciting products, such as the new Apple Watch and AirPods. Let's dive into the highlights of the event.

In addition to inheriting the iPhone 15 Pro's action button, the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus now feature a convenient DSLR-like new button, which you can use to take photos and videos as well as adjust settings. They also come with stacked rear cameras that support spatial video recording, viewable on the Apple Vision Pro.

The iPhone 16 is equipped with the faster A18 processor, capable of handling the device's new AI features. The 6.1-inch iPhone 16 starts at $799, and the 6.7-inch Plus version starts at $899. Available in white, black, green, pink, and blue, they will begin shipping on September 20.

iPhone 16 Pro Features Larger Display and Improved Cameras

The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max feature slightly larger displays, with the base Pro model sporting a 6.3-inch (instead of 6.1-inch) display, and the Pro Max boasting a 6.9-inch (instead of 6.7-inch) display. Like the base iPhone 16, the Pro series also includes the new capture button. They are also equipped with the upgraded A18 Pro chip, and according to Apple, the Pro Max version offers "the best iPhone battery life ever."

Compared to last year's models, both phones (not just the Pro Max) feature the same 5x telephoto camera with a "four-prism" design, as well as an upgraded 48-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 48MP "Fusion camera." The Pro-level iPhones come in gold, black, white, and "natural" titanium gray. The iPhone 16 Pro starts at $999, and the Pro Max at $1,199. They will be available for pre-order starting Friday and hit stores on September 20.

iPhone 16 Gains Visual Intelligence

All iPhone 16 models are ready to use Apple Intelligence — Apple will roll out a beta version of its new AI features next month, initially in English. These features include searching for images in your gallery by describing them and creating custom emojis.

However, Apple has also equipped the iPhone 16's camera control button with a new feature called "Visual Intelligence," which automatically searches the photos you take. You can also use it to perform actions, such as taking a photo of a concert poster and easily adding it to your calendar.

Watch Series 10 Features Larger Display and Thinner Design

The Apple Watch Series 10 boasts the thinnest form factor to date and features a larger, wide-angle OLED display, with Apple claiming a 40% brightness increase when viewed from certain angles. It can also detect signs of sleep apnea by measuring breathing disturbances during sleep. This new watch also includes depth and water temperature sensors.

The new device comes in a black polished aluminum finish, with rose gold and silver matte options, as well as a polished titanium finish, which Apple claims is 20% lighter than the Series 9. The Watch Series 10 starts at $399 and will be available on September 20.
