Leading enterprise AI company Glean has raised over $260 million in its latest Series E funding round, doubling its valuation to $4.6 billion from $2.2 billion just six months ago. The round was co-led by Altimeter and DST Global, with participation from several investment firms including Craft Ventures, Sapphire Ventures, and SoftBank Vision Fund 2.

In tandem with the funding, Glean has introduced several new features for its Work AI platform aimed at accelerating the adoption of AI in businesses:

1. Next-generation prompt capabilities: Enable automation of complex, multi-step workflows suitable for users of all skill levels.

2. Prompt builder: Allows the creation, editing, and publishing of prompts using natural language.

3. Advanced multi-step prompts: Automate complex tasks and workflows.

4. Prompt sharing and prompt library: Facilitate team learning and exploration of new AI use cases.

5. Embedded solutions for Zendesk and Salesforce Service Cloud: Enhance customer support efficiency.

Arvind Jain, Co-founder and CEO of Glean and former Google engineer, emphasized, "To unleash new creativity, productivity, and operational efficiency, AI needs to leverage the full scope of organizational knowledge and be accessible to everyone."

Since its establishment in 2019, Glean has seen a surge in demand, particularly in the deployment of generative AI. Over the past year, the company's annual recurring revenue has more than doubled. Currently, Glean's Work AI platform is utilized by tech companies like Reddit, Pinterest, and Duolingo, as well as leading enterprises in sectors such as telecommunications, banking, and retail.
