During the conference, Alibaba announced a series of重磅硬核发布, including the launch of the new generation open-source model Qwen 2.5, which surpasses Llama 405B in performance, firmly holding the title of "the strongest open-source large model."
The Qwen 2.5 series includes multiple sizes of large language models, multi-modal models, mathematical models, and code models, each available in a basic version, an instruction-following version, and a quantized version. As of now, the cumulative downloads of the Tongyi Qianwen open-source models have exceeded 40 million times, making them one of the leading model groups globally.
Additionally, the Tongyi flagship model Qwen-Max has undergone comprehensive upgrades, with performance close to GPT-4o. The backend models on the Tongyi official website and the Tongyi APP have been switched to Qwen-Max, continuing to provide free services to all users. Qwen-Max has seen significant improvements in understanding, mathematical, coding, hallucination resistance, and instruction-following capabilities.
Tongyi Wanxiang has also been fully upgraded, introducing a new video generation model capable of producing high-definition videos suitable for film and television creation, animation design, and advertising design among other fields. Users can experience the text-to-video and image-to-video functions for free through the Tongyi APP and the Tongyi Wanxiang official website.
Alibaba Cloud's Tongyi Lingma has also received a major upgrade, now capable of completing development tasks such as requirement understanding, task decomposition, code writing, bug fixing, and testing, significantly improving the efficiency of application development.
Finally, three major models of Tongyi Qianwen on the Alibaba Cloud Bailian platform have been further reduced in price, with Qwen-Turbo seeing a direct 85% price drop, and Qwen-Plus and Qwen-Max both reduced by 80% and 50% respectively, offering highly cost-effective services to users. Additionally, the Alibaba Cloud Bailian platform has provided all new users with a free gift of over 50 million tokens and 4500 image generation credits.
