In a recent interview, Meta's Chief AI Scientist Yann LeCun stated that we will soon have the technology to provide AI assistants for individuals, creating a personal digital assistant team for every internet user. As a scientist, he focuses on predicting technological advancements and their potential, emphasizing that we will soon have AI that rivals or even surpasses human intelligence.

LeCun pointed out that our interaction with AI systems will no longer be limited to smartphones in the future. He mentioned that future hardware is likely to be smart glasses, which can replace us in many daily tasks, such as seeing, hearing, and remembering. They will be able to answer our questions at any time and provide services similar to human assistants, making our lives more convenient.

He also talked about how this technology will enable seamless communication between different languages. There are already some prototypes capable of real-time multilingual translation, and LeCun predicts that this transformative technology will be available within one to two years.

Speaking about the future of smartphones, LeCun bluntly stated that smartphones will gradually be phased out within the next 10-15 years. He emphasized that we will shift to using augmented reality glasses and smart bracelets to interact with AI assistants. He vividly described a scenario where we no longer carry smartphones but wear augmented reality glasses instead.

Additionally, emerging technology products such as the Limitless AI Pendant and the WIZPR Ring are gradually being introduced, aiming to leverage the power of AI to interact with large language models. Although the AI Pin proposed by Humane AI is considered a replacement for smartphones, market feedback has been mixed.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk's Neuralink is also working on developing electronic devices that can be implanted in the brain, allowing people to communicate more directly with machines and other individuals. Neuralink's goal is to make this technology as ubiquitous as smartphones, thereby opening up broader possibilities for medical and technological advancements.
