Recently, the European Commission unveiled the initial list of over 100 signatories for the "Artificial Intelligence Pact," which includes major companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, OpenAI, Palantir, Samsung, SAP, Salesforce, Snap, Airbus, Porsche, Lenovo, and Qualcomm. According to reports, the "Artificial Intelligence Pact" aims to encourage companies to make voluntary commitments regarding the handling and deployment of AI, filling the compliance gap before the implementation of the "Artificial Intelligence Act." Signatories pledge to undertake core actions, including AI governance strategies, risk assessments of AI systems, and enhancing AI awareness among staff.

Signatories can also opt for additional commitments, such as designing AI systems to ensure users are aware they are interacting with AI, and clearly labeling content generated by AI.

Although the "Artificial Intelligence Pact" is voluntary, signatories will be invited to report on their progress, potentially fostering a competitive environment among them for compliance.
