Meta is developing a new artificial intelligence system designed to rival OpenAI's most advanced models. The company plans to launch this new AI model next year, which will be several times more powerful than its commercial version, named Llama 2. This planned system will assist other companies in building services capable of generating complex text, analysis, and other outputs. Meta has been purchasing more NVIDIA H100 AI training chips and strengthening its infrastructure to avoid relying again on Microsoft's Azure cloud platform for training new chatbots. The company reportedly assembled a team earlier this year to build this model, aiming to accelerate the creation of AI tools that can simulate human expressions. Since OpenAI launched ChatGPT at the end of last year, businesses and entrepreneurs have flocked to the emerging generative AI market to gain more capabilities and improve business processes.
