Google is leveraging its generative artificial intelligence technology to enhance its Shopping tab, aiming to provide users with a smarter and more personalized shopping experience. The company announced on Tuesday that it will use AI to assist users in purchasing products based on what they desire, and introduced a new scrollable personalized shopping product.

When you search for a product on Google, the results page will include an AI summary listing considerations for shopping. For example, if you search for "men's winter jackets in Seattle," you will see a summary stating what Google thinks you should know before purchasing a new jacket for specific climates.

Google also uses AI to show you relevant products to expedite your search. Each recommended product includes a brief description explaining why it might be suitable for you. You will also see categories that provide an overview of different types of jackets to consider.

Google stated that it is pairing the 4.5 billion product listings in Google Shopping Graph with the Gemini model to transform the Shopping tab. These new features will be rolled out in the United States in the coming weeks.
