Recently, China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) announced the launch of its "Haineng" artificial intelligence model. This model is designed to drive digital transformation in the oil and gas industry through intelligent technology, covering eight major business scenarios including smart oilfields, smart engineering, and smart factories, aiming for comprehensive intelligent production and management.

CNOOC has successfully established the country's first offshore smart oilfield and the world's first remotely controllable ultra-deepwater platform by applying artificial intelligence technology, significantly enhancing the efficiency and safety of oil and gas production.

In upstream operations, the company focuses on the construction of smart oilfields. By applying intelligent algorithmic models, traditional manual decision-making patterns are shifting towards data-driven new models. For example, the injection-production linkage model, which integrates vast amounts of data over 20 years, enables intelligent management of underground reservoirs and surface equipment, greatly improving oilfield output and safety. Meanwhile, the safety drilling model has significantly reduced the incidence of hazardous behaviors through round-the-clock monitoring.

In the midstream and downstream sectors, the application of AI technology has also yielded significant results. CNOOC has constructed an intelligent trade and sales business chain, upgrading each link from resource procurement to logistics and transportation to oil and gas sales through intelligent means. Notably, the establishment of the intelligent forecasting system and logistics supervision center has further enhanced market responsiveness and service efficiency.
