Users can use Companion Chat to immediately ask ChatGPT anything, upload files, generate new images, or start a new conversation.

To open Companion Chat, press the Alt + Space key when the ChatGPT application is open. Companion Chat remembers its last position and resets to the bottom center of the screen when the application is reset.

You can clear the content in Companion Chat by selecting New chat at the top of the window.

You can continue the conversation in the ChatGPT application at any time by selecting the "Open in Main Window" button at the top of the window.

If you accidentally close the Companion Chat window, you can continue the conversation in the ChatGPT application by opening it from the chat history in the sidebar.

The official reminder states that if the Companion Chat shortcut is occupied by another Windows application, it cannot be used in ChatGPT. Additionally, the feature to update the Companion Chat shortcut is not yet supported.
