OpenAI has recently announced the expansion of its ChatGPT Advanced Voice Mode to regions including the European Union, Switzerland, Iceland, Norway, and Liechtenstein. This feature allows ChatGPT to respond to audio inputs within 232 milliseconds (average 320 milliseconds), comparable to human response times in typical conversations.

The Advanced Voice Mode for ChatGPT was initially launched in May this year, exclusively for Plus and Team users in the United States. Last month, OpenAI extended this functionality to users in the UK. Now, all ChatGPT Plus and Team users in the EU and other regions can also access this feature.

OpenAI has also announced several improvements to the ChatGPT Advanced Voice Mode, including the addition of five new voices, a custom command feature, and a dialogue content memory function. Users can choose from nine different voices for responses and set custom commands to control ChatGPT's behavior.

In addition, OpenAI's main competitor, Google, has launched its own advanced voice feature, Gemini Live, which is available for Android users and currently supports over 40 languages.

The expansion and improvement of ChatGPT's Advanced Voice Mode mark further breakthroughs for OpenAI in the field of artificial intelligence, allowing users to enjoy a more natural conversational experience and more efficient information exchange.
