CrewAI's open-source platform executes over 10 million AI agents monthly and is already used by nearly half of the Fortune 500 companies. Recently, CrewAI partnered with IBM to help businesses in the U.S. and globally adopt AI agents at scale.
CrewAI was founded by João Moura in January 2023. Before founding CrewAI, Moura was in charge of AI engineering at Clearbit, and shortly after Clearbit was acquired by HubSpot, he started this new venture.
On social media platform X, Moura stated: "This investment is a significant validation of our vision: CrewAI is fulfilling the promise of generative AI in enterprises by harnessing the power of AI agents to transform automation." In response to user demands, CrewAI launched CrewAI Enterprise, allowing large organizations to efficiently build, monitor, and iterate complex AI agents. Within less than six months, the platform attracted 150 enterprise customers for testing.
New features of CrewAI Enterprise include self-iteration, performance evaluation, persistent memory, and various agent collaboration structures. Moura said: "With the launch of CrewAI Enterprise, we make it easier for large organizations to design, test, and deploy complex AI agents at scale, achieving high-quality results."
Following successful private testing, CrewAI officially launched its enterprise cloud service, a universal platform that enables organizations to build AI agent teams tailored to their unique workloads. The platform supports any large language model (LLM) or cloud platform, helping teams achieve high-quality results.
Based on CrewAI's popular open-source framework, the enterprise product allows for rapid iteration and offers templates, extensive VIP support, and integrated security features. CrewAI Enterprise allows users to easily create complex multi-agent systems using its framework or Crew Studio.
Organizations can deploy multi-agent automation in a secure production environment while maintaining appropriate access and control measures. Through testing and training tools, organizations can also track return on investment, continuously improving efficiency and result quality.
The new platform enables various teams to automate workflows and develop features and applications based on AI agents. During the testing phase, CrewAI found that companies built hundreds of different application scenarios using the platform.
