On Wednesday, Apple Inc. released the developer beta versions of iOS18.2, iPadOS18.2, and macOS Sequoia15.2. These updates introduce several new Apple Intelligence features, including Genmoji, Image Playground, Visual Intelligence, Image Wand, and integrated ChatGPT, significantly enhancing user experience.

The software updates were released a week before the public launch of OS18.1, iPadOS18.1, and macOS Sequoia15.1, bringing writing tools, image cleanup, article summarization, and typing inputs to achieve a redesigned Siri experience.

In addition to these updates, APIs for three key Apple Intelligence features were introduced, including the Writing Tools API, Genmoji API, and Image Playground API. These APIs are designed to help developers integrate Apple's miniature model generation AI into their applications, enhancing the intelligence level of the apps.

Furthermore, this developer update expanded language localization, although currently limited to English. Apple added localization support for Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the UK, allowing users to better adapt to different language usage habits.

It is worth noting, however, that Apple previously announced that next year it will support multiple languages including Chinese, Hindi, English (Singapore), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Users in China and the EU may, due to regulatory issues, be unable to access Apple Intelligence features, introducing some uncertainty for future developments.

This release of the developer beta not only enhances generative AI capabilities but also brings a richer language selection for global users, further expanding its application scenarios in the field of artificial intelligence.
