This new data center is not just built for storing and processing data; it also offers flexible rack density options, supporting a range of needs from 50kW to 150kW. This means that as technology evolves, the scale and capabilities of the data center can easily expand to meet the growing AI computing demands of the future.
In terms of design, RackBank has also considered advanced cooling solutions such as air cooling, liquid cooling, and Rear Door Heat Exchangers (RDHX) to ensure efficient operation of the equipment. Additionally, the data center is prepared for NVIDIA's upcoming Blackwell GPU architecture, showcasing its forward-looking technological layout.
The construction of this data center will also create numerous direct job opportunities and is expected to drive the creation of thousands of jobs in related industries. At the same time, it will serve as a hub for collaboration between academia, industry, and government, fostering an ecosystem of innovation and technological advancement. According to RackBank's plans, this AI data center is expected to start operations in the fourth quarter of 2024 and reach full capacity by the third quarter of 2025.
At the recent groundbreaking ceremony, the Chief Minister of the Central Province, Dr. Mohan Yadav, personally laid the foundation for the data center. He stated: "This facility embodies our state's commitment to innovation, driving technological growth and creating new opportunities for our people. With the support of MP's investment promotion and IT policies, we are positioning the Central Province as a significant player in India's AI future."
Narendra Sen, Founder and CEO of RackBank, also expressed his anticipation: "This facility will not only accelerate our country's AI capabilities but will also attract top global talent and investment, realizing our vision to make India an AI hub of excellence by 2030."
