Google is rolling out the split-screen feature of its AI assistant, Gemini, on a large scale, allowing more Android device users to enjoy a more convenient AI interaction experience. Previously, this feature was only supported on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 with the One UI 6.1.1 system.

Multiple sources have confirmed that the split-screen feature of Gemini is now available on a wider range of devices, including Samsung Galaxy Tab series tablets, early Galaxy Z Fold foldable phones, Google's own Pixel Tablet, and the upcoming Pixel 9 Pro Fold, among others.

A major highlight of this update is the addition of smarter interface control elements. Gemini's chat interface now features a centrally located handle at the top, allowing users to easily drag it to perform split-screen operations with other applications. Whether side-by-side or top-bottom split-screen, users can switch flexibly. This improvement significantly enhances multitasking capabilities, enabling users to call upon the AI assistant while browsing content, thereby increasing efficiency.

The widespread deployment of this feature marks Google's acceleration in advancing its AI assistant ecosystem, bringing more convenient artificial intelligence usage experiences to users of different types of Android devices. By seamlessly integrating the AI assistant with daily application scenarios, Google is redefining the way mobile devices are used and pioneering a new paradigm of intelligent interaction.

Compared to the early testing phase limited to a single model, this comprehensive promotion of the feature will allow more users to experience the convenience brought by the AI assistant, showcasing Google's continuous innovation in the AI field. With the increasing number of supported devices, it is expected that more users will benefit from this intelligent upgrade.
