Microsoft has recently brought exciting news to Windows 11 users: the classic Paint and Notepad applications have received upgrades with artificial intelligence features. These new functionalities have begun rolling out to test users, signaling a transformative change in how we draw and take notes.

The new version of Paint (version 11.2410.28.0) introduces two highly anticipated features: Generative Erase and Generative Fill. The Generative Erase function allows users to select an area, which the system then automatically "erases" and intelligently fills in the background, proving very useful for fixing minor flaws in photos. The Generative Fill function is even more advanced; users can outline an area with the selection tool, and AI will generate an artistic piece to fill it, seamlessly integrating the generated content with the existing scene.

It's worth noting that the Generative Fill feature will only be available on Copilot + computers equipped with Snapdragon processors, while the Generative Erase feature can be used on any computer running Windows Insider code.

Additionally, Notepad (version 11.2410.15.0) has added an AI rewrite function, allowing users to adjust the tone and length of selected text. While this does not write for the user, it effectively helps optimize note content.

The addition of these new features not only enhances user experience but also demonstrates Microsoft's deep exploration in AI technology applications. By incorporating these futuristic elements into Windows 11, Microsoft allows us to enjoy the convenience of AI even when drawing and taking notes. These updates not only improve our work efficiency but also provide new possibilities for creative expression.
