Microsoft has officially initiated its AI strategy on the Xbox platform. As the first AI feature, an intelligent customer service chatbot has been launched on Xbox. Insiders reveal that this is just the first step in Microsoft's AI strategy for the Xbox domain.
The second AI feature coming to Xbox is natural language search. This feature will allow users to receive relevant recommendations without remembering specific game names, simply by entering descriptive terms like "educational games for children." The new search system will also support error-tolerant functions, recognizing spelling mistakes and acronyms, and is expected to be fully rolled out in a few weeks.
Compared to product lines like Windows and Office, Microsoft's AI deployment on the Xbox platform appears more cautious. Although CEO Satya Nadella positions AI as a core strategy, Xbox has not yet seen deep integrations like Copilot. However, Microsoft has been using AI models in the background to optimize Xbox platform performance for years.
These moves indicate that Microsoft is systematically advancing the AI-ization of the Xbox platform to enhance user experience through technological innovation. The industry expects more AI features to be introduced to the Xbox platform in the future.
