Artificial intelligence research institution Nous Research has recently launched the Nous Chat chatbot, which can access its large language model Hermes3-70B. The Nous Chat chatbot offers a familiar interface similar to ChatGPT, allowing users to interact with the model without the need to run their own code.
The Nous Chat bot features long-term memory, multi-round conversations, complex role-playing, and self-monologues. Currently, Nous Research has also made the related Hermes3-70B model family available on Hugging Face for developers to preview.
Nous Research has also teased a model named Nous-Hermes-2-Mixtral-8x7B-DPO, which is an expert hybrid model based on Mixtral8x7B, claiming to be trained with a large amount of data generated by GPT-4 and other open-source datasets, offering a multi-role experience.
In addition, the company announced a Nous-Capybara-7B V1.9 model based on the Mistral architecture, claiming to be trained with 20,000 dialogues, offering significant advantages in naturalness and coherence of conversations.
The overall interface of the Nous Chat chatbot is not much different from ChatGPT and Claude, and it can communicate in multiple languages including English, Chinese, and Japanese. The knowledge cutoff date for the chatbot is April 2023, but it currently lacks programming capabilities of mainstream AI models and has room for improvement.
Nous Chat is a significant product of Nous Research, aiming to make it easy for users to interact with its large language model Hermes3-70B. Nous Research plans to continue updating and improving the Nous Chat chatbot in the future, adding more features and functionalities to meet user needs.
