Apple has released Final Cut Pro 11, introducing a range of new features, including AI-driven Magnetic Mask and Transcribe to Captions. The software will be available for download on Wednesday, with existing users receiving the update for free, while new users will need to pay $300 to download it.
The new features in Final Cut Pro 11 include:
Magnetic Mask: Easily cut out people and objects from videos without relying on a green screen.
Transcribe to Captions: Automatically convert dialogue in videos to captions.
Mixed Reality Editing: Edit spatial videos captured on iPhone, adding color correction, effects, and titles.
Magnetic Timeline: Quickly rearrange clips while keeping audio and video in sync.
Apple states that Final Cut Pro 11 is designed specifically for its M-series chips, allowing for the playback of more 4K and 8K ProRes video streams simultaneously.
Additionally, Apple has released Final Cut Pro for iPad 2.1, enhancing the touch interface's brightness and color, while also improving the workflow experience. This software will also be available for existing users to download for free starting Wednesday.
