Tencent has announced the official launch of the new version 2.0 of its smart assistant product, Tencent Yuanbao. In this new version, the conversation list has been redesigned to make it easier for users to find historical conversations and the intelligent agents they have used, making it more convenient to review information or continue unfinished discussions.
The Tencent Yuanbao 2.0 version also introduces a dedicated section for AI applications, which includes five major applications: AI Search, AI Reading, Creative Painting, Inspiration Gallery, and AI Photo Enhancement, catering to users' diverse creative needs in searching, reading, writing, and painting. Additionally, the new version offers an "Application Square," allowing users to add a variety of intelligent agents to their AI application page with just one click.
In terms of AI Search, the Tencent Yuanbao 2.0 version not only integrates content from WeChat official accounts but also adds unique information resources from WeChat Channels and QQ Music, providing a smarter and more convenient search service. The mixed Yuan model architecture has also been upgraded, based on the new generation large model "Mixed Yuan Turbo," significantly enhancing performance with double the training and inference efficiency, allowing for faster and more accurate responses. Furthermore, Tencent Yuanbao 2.0 supports multi-modal understanding and generation and is the first domestically developed MoE multi-modal large model, capable of understanding and analyzing images with any aspect ratio and up to 7K resolution.
The Tencent Yuanbao 2.0 version will also integrate with Tencent Docs, PC Manager, Sogou Input Method, and other ecosystem products for a more seamless experience. After using AI to generate articles, users can smoothly transition to the editing phase in Tencent Docs, utilizing the AI Document Assistant for optimization and adjustments. While reading content on a computer, users can highlight keywords and click on "Explain," "Translate," or "AI Search," and Tencent Yuanbao will immediately provide the needed information. The collaboration between Sogou Input Method and Yuanbao offers AI support for various work and life needs, such as searching for information and studying documents, enabling users to quickly summon the intelligent sidebar through shortcut keys, highlighting words, or clicking on the AI function entry, so Yuanbao can assist them at any time.
