The video editing platform InVideo recently launched a major upgrade version v3.0, introducing an AI-based text-to-video generation feature. Users can create live-action, animated, or anime-style video content simply by entering text prompts, and can customize adjustments for different platforms such as YouTube, Instagram Reels, and LinkedIn.

Although this new feature relies on third-party AI models, users can perform real-time dynamic editing of the videos by adding additional text prompts. InVideo has specifically launched a subscription plan called "Generative Plan," starting at $120 per month, which allows users to generate 15 minutes of video content, with the option to purchase additional duration as needed.

Despite the significant enhancement in InVideo's capabilities, early user feedback indicates that the generated videos still exhibit inconsistencies in style and quality. In response, the company has committed to continuously optimizing and improving this tool.

Data shows that InVideo currently has 4 million monthly active users, generating 7 million videos just last month. Compared to large production teams, the platform's primary user base consists of individual creators and small businesses. According to co-founder and CEO Sanket Shah, with support from investors such as Tiger Global and Peak XV Partners, InVideo has raised a total of $35 million in funding and is expected to reach $50 million in revenue this year.

This feature upgrade not only demonstrates the immense potential of AI in the field of video creation but also reflects the trend towards smarter and more automated content creation tools. Although the technology is not yet perfect, with ongoing optimization, such tools are likely to reshape the landscape of video content creation in the future.
