Baidu announced its financial report for the third quarter of 2024 today. The data shows that the company's total revenue reached 33.6 billion RMB in the three months ending September 30, a 3% decrease compared to the same period last year. In terms of net profit, Baidu's net profit attributable to the company was 7.6 billion RMB, while the net profit calculated according to non-GAAP standards was 5.9 billion RMB.
In terms of market segments, Baidu's core business revenue reached 26.5 billion RMB, remaining relatively stable compared to the same period last year. The revenue from online marketing was 18.8 billion RMB, a decline of 4% year-on-year. Meanwhile, non-online marketing revenue grew by 12%, reaching 7.7 billion RMB. Notably, iQIYI's revenue was 7.2 billion RMB, down 10% year-on-year.
In the field of intelligent cloud services, Baidu has also achieved a series of accomplishments. As of November 2024, Baidu's PaddlePaddle and Wenxin ecosystem have attracted the participation of 11.81 million developers. The daily API call volume for the Wenxin series models reached 1.5 billion in November, a significant increase from 600 million in August.
In the third quarter, Baidu also launched two new lightweight models, Speed Pro and Lite Pro, to expand the application range of the Wenxin series models.
