At this year's Samsung Developer Conference, Samsung officially launched the new Gauss2AI model, marking another significant advancement in the field of artificial intelligence. Gauss2 features comprehensive upgrades in performance and efficiency, with applications ranging from smartphones to home appliances, covering a variety of smart devices.

Gauss2 has multimodal capabilities, allowing it to process images, text, and code simultaneously, enabling artificial intelligence to better integrate into various device ecosystems. Samsung has developed three versions: Compact, Balanced, and Supreme, to meet different usage scenarios: Compact model: can run on offline devices, suitable for applications in environments without internet. Balanced model: uses online resources as needed, balancing performance and efficiency. Supreme model: dynamically adjusts resources and algorithms to provide optimal performance and experience.

Samsung stated that Gauss2 operates 1.5 to 3 times faster than its predecessor and supports up to 14 languages, paving the way for the future of device intelligence.

Currently, Samsung has widely implemented Gauss2 internally to enhance efficiency. Over 60% of developers in Samsung's DX department use this model for coding, translation, document summarization, and more. The call center also utilizes it for categorizing and summarizing customer interactions.

Paul Kyungwhoon Cheun, President and CTO of Samsung's Device Experience (DX) department, stated: "We are committed to enhancing user experience through cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology. The three versions of Gauss2 not only improve our productivity but also provide more possibilities for future products."

Although the capabilities of Gauss2 may not yet be fully realized in consumer devices, its application potential is undeniable. From real-time translation, music and movie recommendations, to image editing and automated settings adjustments, Gauss2 is expected to become a core technology driver for future smart device experiences.
