The survey results indicate that 97% of CEOs expect Generative AI to have a significant impact on their businesses in the future. Meanwhile, 96% of respondents are considering how to leverage this technology to optimize future workflows and support processes, while 99% of companies plan to invest further in this area. Key applications of Generative AI include personalized service recommendations, knowledge management, quality control, and research and development, all of which are current focal points for businesses.

Abhijit Dubey, CEO of NTT Data, emphasized that Generative AI is increasingly becoming a significant force in a technology-driven economy, and he believes this is a critical moment in history. The survey shows that two-thirds of business leaders believe Generative AI will bring significant transformations to their operations in the next two years, enhancing productivity, efficiency, sustainability, compliance, business processes, and employee experience.

However, despite the confidence in the prospects of Generative AI, businesses still face numerous challenges in practical applications. The survey reveals that 90% of business leaders believe that legacy infrastructure limits the effective use of Generative AI. Although 83% of respondents have developed clear strategies, 51% of companies have yet to align these strategies with their overall business plans. David Pereira, Chief Generative Officer for NTT Data in Europe and Latin America, pointed out that companies should integrate their Generative AI strategies with business strategies and foster a suitable corporate culture to more effectively address business challenges.

Additionally, other major obstacles include users' lack of awareness of the value of Generative AI solutions, resistance to technology, and concerns over security and privacy. Nevertheless, 68% of respondents remain excited and optimistic about the transformative potential of Generative AI.
