On November 23, the National Healthcare Security Administration announced that artificial intelligence-assisted diagnosis has been included in the project guidelines for the first time. "Artificial Intelligence Assistance" has been established as an extension item in radiological examinations, ultrasound examinations, and rehabilitation projects, without imposing additional burdens on patients. This initiative has cleared obstacles for the clinical application of AI-assisted technology.
At the beginning of 2024, "Artificial Intelligence +" was included in the government work report for the first time, and relevant actions progressed rapidly. The National Development and Reform Commission emphasized its role in promoting new productive forces. Many regions, including Beijing, have introduced action plans to drive the intelligent transformation of various industries. In the area of "Artificial Intelligence + Industry," Dongguan is upgrading its processes, using AI "quality inspectors" to ensure product quality. In the field of "Artificial Intelligence + Transportation," smart traffic management and autonomous driving technologies are continuously advancing, promising to change travel and improve efficiency. Additionally, there are applications in finance, healthcare, and education. These examples are actively promoting the development of new productive forces across multiple industries.
Data from Qichacha shows that in the past decade, the number of registered artificial intelligence-related enterprises in China has increased year by year, with the figures surpassing 200,000 for the first time in 2020 and 500,000 in 2023. In terms of existing enterprises, there are currently 1.931 million AI-related companies in China, with the modern technology service industry accounting for 59.3% of the total.
