Researchers have unveiled two new studies that leverage artificial intelligence to generate three-dimensional avatars from text, enabling applications such as virtual try-on and avatar shape editing. These achievements, from researchers at institutions including the Max Planck Institute, utilize AI technology to create methods named DELTA and TECA, which can generate high-quality 3D avatars from monocular RGB videos and text descriptions. These methods not only create realistic virtual personas but also support online virtual fitting, which is of significant importance to the fashion e-commerce, social platforms, and metaverse sectors.
