In the global fintech sector, artificial intelligence is reshaping the way data analysis is conducted. London-based fintech company 9fin recently completed a $50 million Series B funding round, which will propel its AI-driven debt capital markets analysis platform to a higher level of development.
Co-founder and CEO Steven Hunter stated that 9fin's core mission is to provide market professionals with smarter and faster data insights. Co-founder and CTO Huss El-Sheikh emphasized that by investing in top-notch product and engineering talent, the company has significantly enhanced the speed of product iteration, delivering better workflows, tools, and market insights to its clients.
9fin's analysis platform covers various complex areas, including high-yield bonds, leveraged loans, distressed debt, collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), private credit, and asset-backed finance. By integrating generative AI, the platform also offers intelligent Q&A tools, real-time market updates, and advanced search capabilities.
Since its Series A+ funding in 2022, the company's annual recurring revenue (ARR) has grown by 400%, and its customer base has doubled, currently serving nearly 200 global credit market institutions.
This funding round was led by Highland Europe. Partner Fergal Mullen noted that current data and technology solutions have not kept pace with the booming debt market, and 9fin's ongoing investment in technological innovation and corporate culture has made it the most trusted platform in the debt market.
Notably, according to a joint report by PYMNTS Intelligence and NCR Voyix, 72% of financial leaders in the industry are actively using AI. Among them, 64% of enterprises apply AI for fraud detection, while 42% use it for customer onboarding automation.
9fin's successful funding not only marks a significant breakthrough in the fintech field but also highlights the immense potential of AI technology in professional financial analysis. By providing smarter and more precise market insights, 9fin is redefining the boundaries of financial data analysis.
As AI technology continues to advance, companies like 9fin will keep driving the digital transformation of the financial industry, providing professional investors with more competitive decision-making tools.
