On December 11, OpenAI announced that it will make the Canvas feature available to all ChatGPT users, aiming to enhance efficiency in writing and coding projects. Canvas is a new interface in ChatGPT specifically designed for handling writing and coding tasks that require editing and modification.

Currently, users can experience the Canvas feature on the web version and the Windows 10/11 ChatGPT app, with the Mac version and mobile platform versions (iOS, Android, mobile web) coming soon.

Users can access Canvas by clicking the button next to the ChatGPT chatbot, or by including "use Canvas..." in their prompts, or by typing "open Canvas" or "open code Canvas" in the web version of ChatGPT to open a blank Canvas.

Canvas offers a range of shortcuts, including suggestions for editing, adjusting length, updating reading level, adding emojis, and more. Users can also execute Python code directly in the browser, with results displayed in the console, and ChatGPT will provide error suggestions and attempt to fix mistakes.

Additionally, Canvas supports custom GPT configurations, expands its application scenarios, and includes a commenting feature, allowing users to receive feedback and editing suggestions from ChatGPT, facilitating enhanced human-computer collaboration.
