NetEase's popular mobile game "Nirvana in Fire" has collaborated with Baidu's Wenxin large model to launch the world's first AI large model arena within a game, providing players with a new experience of real-time interaction with AI character roles. This collaboration marks a new arena for the integration of "artificial intelligence + gaming," offering hundreds of millions of players a more immersive and free gaming experience.
The "Nirvana in Fire" mobile game introduced the AI large model arena in version 2.2.2. With the support of Baidu's Wenxin large model, NPCs (non-player characters) in the game are endowed with more realistic and vibrant traits. These NPCs are no longer limited to preset storyline texts and can generate responses that align with their character settings in real-time, allowing for instant interaction with players. The introduction of intelligent NPCs gives each character a unique personality and thoughts, making every interaction with players refreshing.
In addition to preset initial topics, players can freely input questions and chat with AI NPCs in real-time. This high degree of interaction places greater demands on the large model's understanding, generation, logic, and memory capabilities. The time-space and scene optimization abilities of the Wenxin character large model (ERNIE-Character-Fiction-8K) enable the model to seamlessly integrate into the vast open world of "Nirvana in Fire," providing strong support for the AI large model arena gameplay.
