Artificial intelligence and video search company Moments Lab has announced an integration partnership with Bitcentral. According to both companies, this integration will allow users of Bitcentral's Oasis MAM (Media Asset Management) to leverage powerful AI-generated metadata to enrich their media assets while retaining their local or hybrid storage architecture.

Sam Peterson, Chief Operating Officer of Bitcentral, stated, "We are excited to provide Oasis MAM customers with Moments Lab's cutting-edge AI indexing technology, further enhancing the efficiency of news production workflows."

The public API of Moments Lab can be used to integrate its MXT-1.5 multimodal AI with Oasis. MXT-1.5 combines what is seen and heard in videos to generate rich metadata, including human-like descriptions of what occurs in each shot and sequence.

Bitcentral's collaborative Oasis MAM software is a popular media workflow solution for news production. It offers field-centric tools that seamlessly connect remote teams with television stations, enabling faster news reporting.

Frederic Petitpont, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Moments Lab, stated, "Integrating our multimodal AI indexing technology with Bitcentral's Oasis MAM allows news teams to easily access enhanced content search and discovery capabilities. This means they can quickly find the media assets needed to build and publish reports, faster than ever before."

The Moments Lab API works by analyzing media files (proxies or originals) from local or cloud storage. Media assets are processed and enriched by MXT-1.5, which can detect faces, text, logos, landmarks, objects, actions, context, shot types, and speech, generating semantic, human-like descriptions of the content to improve search capabilities. The output can be reviewed and verified within Moments Lab or directly in Oasis MAM.

In summary, the integration of Moments Lab with Bitcentral will bring more efficient workflows to the media industry. Empowered by AI, news teams will be able to retrieve and utilize video resources more quickly and accurately, accelerating the content production and publishing process.
