Moflin officially went on sale in Japan on November 7 of this year, priced at 2832 RMB, and it sold out almost immediately upon release. Its appearance is reminiscent of the Tribbles from "Star Trek," with a round body and beady eyes that also give it a bit of a jellycat vibe. According to official descriptions, Moflin is capable of simulating emotions and personality, becoming happy, calm, and relaxed through regular interaction. If neglected, it will show signs of tension, anxiety, or even sadness. When you hold it, it expresses affection through movements of its head and body, making it feel as if you really have a living pet.

Currently, many users both domestically and internationally have shared their experiences interacting with Moflin on social media. Although Moflin does not possess all the functionalities of traditional pets, such as performing complex tasks or having real-life needs, it fulfills many people's desire for emotional companionship through its interactive features.

AI pets are similar to companion robots, with the core function of providing emotional value. Unlike robots that focus on practical functions like home control and security monitoring, AI pets emphasize feedback of "personality" and "emotion" during interaction. They can express their feelings, such as excitement, boredom, anger, or sadness, through realistic expressions, body movements, and sound effects. Therefore, AI pets have a much larger emotional communication and market premium potential compared to other functional robots.

Now, as more and more users join the "cloud petting" movement, AI pets seem to be gradually becoming a new trend in emotional consumption. Although they cannot replace real pets, they undoubtedly provide modern individuals with new options as a product that offers emotional companionship.
