The Zhipu Qingyan browser extension recently announced the integration of AutoGLM capabilities, marking the evolution of browser extensions into intelligent agents. Now, with the integration of AutoGLM, the Qingyan extension can simulate human operations to automatically complete web tasks based on user text or voice commands, providing users with a "fully automated" new online experience.

AutoGLM is a large model intelligent interactive agent launched by Zhipu, capable of understanding user intentions and executing corresponding actions. Currently, this capability has been implemented on dozens of websites, including Baidu Search, Weibo, Zhihu, GitHub, and Arxiv, allowing users to perform complex search and filtering tasks, as well as summarize content from multiple links.

The upgrade of the Qingyan extension also includes advanced on-site search functionality and multi-link summarization capabilities, enabling users to quickly select and deeply summarize content of interest from the page. Additionally, the extension can display the operational steps of AutoGLM in real-time, enhancing the transparency of the operation process. In coding scenarios, the Qingyan extension has also been optimized to support GitHub issue Q&A and code explanation features in collaboration with CodeGeex.

This new development of the Zhipu Qingyan browser extension not only reshapes people's perception of browser extensions but also provides a preliminary model for the realization of web agents. The upgrade of the extension and the introduction of new features demonstrate the expansion of browser capabilities, offering users a more convenient and intelligent online experience.
