This update means that users in the United States can directly call this number to communicate with ChatGPT, whether they have an old smartphone or a traditional landline, significantly lowering the barrier to use and expanding its application range.
In addition to the phone feature, ChatGPT has also integrated with the instant messaging app WhatsApp. Users can add the same number as a contact and send messages directly on WhatsApp for inquiries.
OpenAI provides users with 15 minutes of free calling time each month, allowing them to experience ChatGPT's phone service without incurring extra costs. If users need longer conversations, they can continue their experience directly in the original app.
