The report shows that Claude is particularly prominent in the development field, with development-related conversations accounting for over 10% of all dialogues, making it the most widely used category. Software developers utilize Claude to perform various tasks, from debugging code to explaining Git operations, demonstrating its practicality in the coding process.

Moreover, educational purposes also hold significant importance, with over 7% of conversations focused on teaching and learning, reflecting user demand for Claude in knowledge transfer. Conversations related to business strategy and operations also reached nearly 6%, including tasks such as writing professional communications and analyzing business data. Clio also discovered some unexpected use cases, such as dream analysis, soccer match analysis, and disaster preparedness.

In terms of language use, Claude's application varies due to cultural backgrounds. Chinese users are particularly enthusiastic about creating horror novels, while Japanese users tend to prefer content related to anime, and Spanish-speaking users focus more on business research. This reflects the unique needs and interests of users from different language backgrounds when using Claude.

The statistical process of Clio includes feature extraction, semantic clustering, cluster description, and hierarchical structure construction. Through these steps, Anthropic's analysts are able to better explore and understand user usage patterns.
