Recently, Star Era Technology Co., Ltd. officially launched its latest end-to-end native robotic model — ERA-42 in Beijing. The design philosophy of ERA-42 aims to achieve more efficient robotic operations, allowing it to flexibly respond to various complex scenarios.

The dexterous manipulation capabilities of ERA-42 are impressive. This model combines Star Era's self-developed five-finger dexterous hand — Star Era XHAND1, enabling it to skillfully use various tools and complete over 100 complex operational tasks.

For example, it can tighten screws with a screwdriver, hammer nails, and even right an overturned cup while pouring water into it. These operations require no pre-programming; ERA-42 can quickly learn to perform new tasks by collecting a small amount of data in just two hours, showcasing its powerful adaptability and generalization capabilities.

The newly released ERA-42 is also the world's first end-to-end large model equipped with a five-finger dexterous hand, advancing the field of embodied intelligence. By integrating multimodal information such as vision, language, touch, and body posture, this model can effectively generalize to different tasks and environments. Its end-to-end design allows the model to process all-modal data to generate final decisions and actions without human intervention, significantly enhancing flexibility and development efficiency.

The Star Era team has also incorporated world model technology into ERA-42, enabling the model not only to perform actions but also to understand the physical world and predict future behaviors. This capability allows ERA-42 to rapidly adapt to changes in the external environment during task execution, continuously optimizing its behavior to ensure successful task completion. This innovation also reduces reliance on high-quality data, significantly lowering the cost of data collection.
